Important document for it shows Eyacher for Elizabeth Oneacre's maiden name.
We are in the process of translating this document but we believe it is a baptism record (based on bible passages referenced) circa 1867. Elizabeth was 4th live child out of 6 from the union of John Oneacre and Mary Ann Kocher but listed as being born in Switzerland and as far as we can determine the first Oneacres in the New World.
7/20/14 note from Jan Oneacre Wilson: "Edwin Edward was born in Switzerland Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio. Also listed are his god-parents, Elisabeth Wanner Zwigart and Jacob Schnegg. This is an important document because it has the Swiss spelling of the original name, Eyacher. When we were in Switzerland in 1998 we were able to find out that this name is originally from Eriz in Berne Canton, Switzerland."
Also look at the 1880 census for John Eiacher.
