Wedding Invitation for Beatrice Carpenter and Herbert Raymond Oneacre. Bea Carpenter's older sister, Roxy Mason, made the announcement for the wedding to take place in Wheeling, WV Nov 1, 1928. Beatrice graduated from the nursing program at Ohio Valley General Hospital and worked there until her marriage. Roxy was Bea's closest sibling and visited often throughout her life. Roxy died as a result of an auto accident in 1965.

Bea and Herb met while Bea was visiting family in New Martinsville. She went to Herb (then a music teacher) for some violin lessons. He was so taken by her that he traveled Wheeling just see her. (Herb made frequent trips to Wheeling for the horse racing tack and generally socializing.) After a short time Bea agree to marry Herb and settled in New Martinsville.
