...thanks for all the information about Aunt Dora. The marriage information was quite interesting. I can’t believe they were so young when I first knew them as a child in the Van Camp community of Wetzel County. Uncle Martin worked for Al Oneacre where he learned the carpentry trade. He probably met Aunt Dora when working for Uncle Martin. In the late 1930’s they visited the Long home on the Bernan Hill in Van Camp almost every Sunday afternoon. Euna Brady Van Camp Long was Uncle Martin’s sister was the reason they visited them on the hill. My family lived with the Longs. Uncle Martin and Aunt Dora were wonderful people; they laughed a lot as I recall from childhood. They would have been great parents. What a trip it was up the Bernan Hill to visit us, but they were certainly welcome. I recall the beautiful brick house Uncle Martin built on the lot adjacent to Oneacres; I also remember Mrs. Renner Oneacre. It’s amazing how her name returned to my memory when I saw it in your genealogical record. I also remember the Oneacres and Uncle Martin and Aunt Dora attending church at the VC Methodist Church on Sunday afternoons. Great old days. Perhaps you would like to read some of the stories I wrote about the VC community for our Magnolia website. You can find them on the website archives.

Dora married Van Camp, Martin Presley on 17 Jun 1931 in Wheeling, WV. Martin (son of Van Camp, J Marshal and unknown, Margaret A) was born on 21 May 1893 in Wetzel County, WV; died in 1989. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
