Documents | Record of Thomas Gorby (Gourby) Revolutionary War Enlistment It was a rumor of the Gorby family that Thomas served in the war as a surgeon in or around Pittsburgh. Since he was born in 1730 he would have been well into his 40 at the time. Perhaps not much use as a soldier he could have been indispensable as a doctor. |
