Oneacre Family Site
Bottom Divider Line

Oneacre.Name site is devoted to all things of the Oneacre families.

According to the 2000 and 2010 census there are fewer  than 100  people with the surname Oneacre.  That means we have a relatively small family tree, one that should be easily assembled.  As many of you know, it is not that easy.

Lately (Sept 2012)  we have added all copies of original census sheets for 1940 from Ancestory.com.  They may be a few more Oneacres that were not indexed properly due to spelling and/or poor hand writing but for now I think we have all that responded to census takers.  We already have census for 1840, 1850, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940.  Each sheet is linked to individuals so you may easily peruse.  To review, select Genealogy above and then Documents on the left.  To see what has been added/modified in the last 120 days select Genealogy above and then What's New o the left.  For discussion of census research go to the Forum link in the top menu above.

We appreciate input including new information, documents, photos, and corrections to existing data by emailing phil @ oneacre . name.  You can send jpeg and pdf (and other common formats) documents and photo to me and I can clean them up as necessary.   Or you can send me the originals and can have a normal turn around of a couple of days.

Document Sizing For Uploaded JPG Files

  • Largest size should not exceed 800 pixels width, length can flow as long as needed
  • The maximum size serves two functions: 1) helps viewability so it will fit width of most displays and 2) controls file size to allow more files to be stored and therefore more items available.
  • There is no minimum size.
  • When source files are less that 800 pixels wide, generally do not enlarge to meet maximum file size.  Why?  Often blowing up an image will degrade the quality to a degree it is unpleasing or recognizable.

Document Naming (Title) / File Naming is helpful for ease of locating.  While the file naming can be helpful for admiinistrator maintenance, the document name is helpful for anyone locating different types of documents.
